Launching with Bidease, integration flow

 

  • As a first step please provide us with the emails you want to create logins for;
  • To set up your product in our system we will require link to the product and tracking links. Our integration team will advise on the setup and perform the first test for you;
  • After the product and tracking are set up we will guide you on setting up your first campaign. Alternatively we can create a model campaign for you, that you can copy and adjust later;
  • After you run your first campaigns for a bit a get a feel of the platform we will be there to advise on optimization options;
  • Do not forget we are always happy to give you additional guidance, so please reach out whenever you have a question or a feedback.



In-app inventory Bidease creative guide

 

As a DSP focused on in-app inventory Bidease has profound expertise in working with all the popular in-app formats. The in-app inventory can be divided into several groups, each of them has its own advantages. This short guide will provide an overview of the formats we run on bidease as well as basic requirements for the creatives.

Video


Available Options

The group of creatives most people are closely familiar with.  Rewarded and non-rewarded video placements are dominating in-app monetization and are in high demand for performance campaigns and brand awareness campaigns alike. 

Bidease supports both rewarded and non-rewarded placement targeting, which offers a lot of flexibility in targeting the right users. 

As for the formats, video placements offer quite a variety of options. As far as formats go, with bidease you can run VAST campaigns, VAST wrappers campaigns, MRAID video campaigns. 


VAST and MRAID video creatives have various templates :

  • VAST or MRAID Video only (widely used in brand awareness campaigns)
  • VAST or MRAID Video + static end card
  • VAST or MRAID Video + playable end card
  • MRAID Fullscreen Video with a banner
  • MRAID Fullscreen Video with a banner + end card


VAST wrappers allow you to run an ad server tag with various campaign within one wrapper, this is a kind of arrangement widely used by brands and agencies.

Requirements

For us to prepare the creatives on your behalf please send us the following files:


Video file

  • We recommend mp4 format
  • lhe video duration should ideally be 30 seconds or less
  • The ideal file size is around 2MB, the maximum size is about 5MB
  • 320×480, 480×320, 1024×768, 768×1024, 1280x720

Companion ad/end card

  • .png, .bmp, .jpeg, and .gif
  • 320x250, 320×480, 480×320, 1024×768, 768×1024

On video banner

  • 230х230
  • .png, .bmp, .jpeg

For playable end card

  • Artworks for us to prepare a playable or
  • A readymade HTML file




Playable Interstitials

 

Playable ads are becoming increasingly popular in mobile advertising as they give potential clients an opportunity to interact with the product and see it’s advantages. Rewarded and non rewarded placements are available for playable creatives. 


You can supply us with a readymade HTML file or send us artworks to prepare a playable for you.


If you are sending an HTML file, please make sure that the HTML itself is smaller than 15kb and the files it uploads are no bigger than 2-3MB


We advise using phaser or animate frameworks for the creatives as they are most tested and prove to be compliant with the markups.

Other Display

 

Static display creatives have been around for a long time now and they still do their job. There are various sizes of banners available in in-app from smaller to static interstitial. 

 

Some of the popular sizes are:

  • Banner Tablet (728×90)
  • Medium Rectangle (300×250)
  • Fullscreen Interstitial Portrait (320×480)
  • Fullscreen Interstitial Landscape (480×320)

Native

 

Native ads are there to seamlessly fit into the user’s session and slyly draw attention to the product without being too forward.

To try this format please provide us with two images

  • Icon: 80 x 80 and 128 x128 pixels, below 15KB, .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png
  • Main image: 800x417 or 1200x627, 1200x628 pixels, preferably below 100KB, .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png.

Native Video


Native Video is not radically different from native ads. The only difference is the additional Video asset, we recommend using 1200x627 or 627x1200 video in mp4 format

When you upload the creative assets make sure that you only mark Video asset as “Required” if you are running a campaign on ADX, on all the other SSPs please leave this field blank

Understand traffic availability

 

You may find in the stats that there are 4 general types the requests are divided into namely Interstitial, Banner, Video and Native. It may seem confusing as in OpenRTB these names do not fully correspond with the common use of these words.

 

Interstitial is basically any fullscreen request. Interstitial attribute stays there for the size not for the type of the inventory, it may be a fullscreen video or it may be a full screen banner request, or possibly a request allows either video or banner to be served.

Banner is an attribute used for any banners be it stripes or fullscreen MRAID playables.

Video is basically just that, video.


As follows from the above the categorie can overlap and they usually do, as a lot of interstitial requests allow both Video and Banner to be served.

The separate group is requests that are marked as Native, these include both video and non-video native creatives.



Creative approval

 

Unless your campaign falls within restricted categories list, there are only two SSPs that require additional creative approval

 

ADX

In general moderation on ADX takes about a couple of hours, but if you are running a campaign on ADX targeting China, please make sure to send your creatives for manual moderation. You can share creative IDs with your manager for approval.

 

TikTok

The other traffic source that runs pre-moderation is TikTok, to whitelist your campaigns and opt for post-moderation please contact your manager and provide adomain and creative examples.

BEST practices checklist

 

Some practices we recommend the following:

  • It is best to set campaigns for separate exchanges, of course, it is up to you but for the best results we suggest you do not mix the traffic as the bidding algorithms may differ from SSP to SSP
  • We advise you consult buying team to go live with the predictor
  • Make sure to ALWAYS use valid ‘adomain’
  • Use coppa when appropriate to avoid ban
  • Do not forget set up the ad frequency, sometimes it is best to show the same ad to the same user no more than a couple of times a day
